It coordinates the work of the member units with other agencies or organizations in\u00a0the area working for children and youth.<\/p>\n<p>It serves as a channel of communication between the state, and the Tenth District PTSA\u00a0and the units.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adhering to National PTA&#8217;s mission, Highlands Council of PTAs resolves to make every child\u2019s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children<\/p>\n<p>PTA&#8217;s Purpose:<\/p>\n<p>To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.<\/p>\n<p>To raise the standards of home life.<\/p>\n<p>To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.<\/p>\n<p>To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.<\/p>\n<p>To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Established in 1921, Highlands Council of PTA&#8217;s currently represents seventeen PTA\/PTSA organizations in the city of Los Angeles, as authorized by the Los Angeles Tenth District of the California State PTA; and is affiliated with the National PTA.
