With each of California\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 1,000 school districts required to adopt their first Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP)<\/a>, as mandated by the new Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF)<\/a>, The Education Trust\u00e2\u20ac\u201dWest<\/strong> and a coalition of more than 30 partner organizations from across the state including California State PTA launched the LCAP Watch<\/strong> website to create more public transparency around school district plans.<\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Under LCFF, parents play an important role in deciding how their district spends state funds to serve all students,” said Valerie Cuevas, Interim Executive Director of The Education Trust\u00e2\u20ac\u201dWest.<\/p>\n

You. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153PTA is committed to helping every parent across California get access to their district\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s LCAP.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

LCAP Watch<\/a> serves as a public repository for LCAPs. You can view existing plans or add your school district’s plan. The website also features additional resources that offer best practices for addressing a number of the state\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s priority areas, including school climate and student engagement, for example.<\/p>\n
